Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of innovative-learning model that includes aspects of planning, implementation, evaluation, and constraints faced by Indonesian teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Kubu. The design of this research is descriptive-qualitative. The subjects of this research are 3 teachers and the object of this research is planning, implementation, evaluation, and obstacles of application of learning model. This research used observation, interview and documentation method. Data were analyzed using identification, classification, interpretation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that (1) learning model planning is divided into two, namely syllabus and preparation of RPP. The syllabus used is derived from Kemdikbud and RPP is based on Permendikbud No. 103 year 2014. (2) implementation of learning based on scientific approach, ie observing, asking, trying, associating, and communicating. In addition, teachers vary the learning model with bamboo dancing, articulation, and active debate. (3) evaluation of learning based on curriculum 2013, that is assessment of process and result. (4) obstacles encountered include aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The conclusion of this research is planning of learning model based on syllabus and RPP. Implementation of learning model based on scientific approach steps. Evaluation of learning model based on curriculum 2013, that is assessment of process and result. Constraints faced include aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Teachers are advised to be more careful in preparing RPP and the school provides training related to the implementation of innovative-scientific model of learning.

Abstract

This researche aimed at (1) describing basic skill of Balinees counselor at Banjar distric, Buleleng regency, (2) The problem in implementing basic skill of Balinees counselor, (3) The factor causing the problem in implementing basic skill of Baliness councelor, (4) The solution describing based on the real factors in implementing basic skill of Balinees coubselor in learning procces. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. The sample were 12 people of Balinees counselor from Buleleng regency. Data collection technique used interviewing and observation. The analysis of data was started from data reduction, proccessing/displaying, and given solution. The results of this research was most of the Balinees counselor did not apply basic skill of teaching to teach Balinees language efficiently and maximally. It was proven with (1) the diffuculty of the Balinees counselor in mastering the content of learning as a result they were difficult to teach the content of Balinees language to the learner in learning procces. (2) Lack of interest of the learning to deeply learn about Baliness language. (3) Lack of facilities in supporting Baliness counselor in teaching as a result they got a difficulty in sharing knowledge to the learner. The solution given by the researcher were staurted from variating technique of teaching of Baliness to learner in learning procces, being discipline in mastering class or atmosphere of the class during learning procces. In addition, the researcher provided correlative media in implementing basic skill of Baliness counselor. In summary, the result of this research done was not effective.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out (1) ethnomedical understanding on the conservation of medicinal plants vocabulary in the South Kuta community, (2) the implication of ethnomedical understanding on the conservation of medicinal plants vocabulary in the South Kuta community. The design of this study was descriptive research design. The subjects in this study were 200 people. The objects in this study were in the form of understanding of the ethnomedical vocabulary, medicinal plants, and the implications of ethnomedical understanding on the preservation of vocabulary on traditional medicinal plants. Data collection were conducted by distributing questionnaires, interviews, document recording, and observation. Data analyses were conducted by the descriptive method of quantitative and qualitative. The presentation was done formally and informally. The results showed that the percentage of understanding which was very dominant or above 50%are aloe vera, turmeric, ginger, and kencur. The implications of ethnomedical understanding on vocabulary preservation of medicinal plants for the people of South Kuta include vocabulary linkages, the making of traditional medicines, the making and utilization of them, such as the manufacture and use of herbs for traditional medicine made from turmeric, dadap, aloe vera, ginger, and kencur. Making vegetables, from Moringa leaves, and dadap which is mashed and pasted/smeared, andong, dadap, kelor, turmeric, ginger, kencur. In addition, the manufacture of scrubs from turmeric, and kencur. Words of traditional medicinal plants which were not listed in implication mean the community just understood or knew but the implementation related to ethnomedical had not been done. In short, the percentage of public understanding which is dominant or above 50% is the understanding of the word of aloe vera, turmeric, ginger, and kencur. The implications of the ethnomedical understanding of vocabulary preservation of medicinal plants of the people of South Kuta include the linkage of vocabulary to the manufacture of traditional medicines and their utilization, such as the manufacture and use of herbs for traditional medicine made from turmeric, dadap, aloe vera, ginger, and kencur.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data and data sources used in this study are in the form of pictures or photographs in the field. One characteristic of qualitative research is the data collected in the form of words, images, and not numbers. The researcher also uses field notes in the form of observation notes and other sources. The data needed to answer the problems that want to be solved are (1) data on the types of errors in Indonesian that are good and correct in the public space, (2) data regarding social-community responses to errors in Indonesian that are good and correct in public space. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation and documentation. The results of the research obtained are (1) errors in Indonesian that are good and correct in the public space are divided into three parts, namely spelling mistakes, diction, and structure, (2) the most dominant use of Indonesian language is diction errors or word choices, ( 3) errors in public spaces contained in posters or nameplate / institutions / stores, contained in newspapers or mass media, and contained in social media, (3) responses in the social-community environment are indifferent and do not know that there are errors in Indonesian that are good and correct in the public space.

Abstract

This research aims to determine (1) the narrative structure of novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu, (2) the role of women figure in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu, (3) the struggle of women figure in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu. This research uses feminism study with qualitative research. The data was collected by using library research. The library method was used at finding out the data in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu and in other literature which supports this research. The analyzed data are narrative structure, the role of women figure and the struggle of women figure in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu. The data were analyzed through the stage of reduction, presentation and data collection. The subject of this research is the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu, the object of this research is the narrative structure, the role of women figure and the struggle of women figure in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu. The result of this research refers to (1) The Narrative structure in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu was include figure, characterization, plot and background. (2) The role of women figure in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu was found in the social domain, domestic and public. (3) The struggle of women figure in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu was manifested by struggling in maintaining in the status as women, the struggle in maintaining the gender. The form of feminism was described in the novel Nayla as never surrender, not dependent to the parents, and behaves deviate. Novel Nayla to present the relationship of gender that leads to a superior. Novel Nayla as the main character show business to make a women who has the dignity of which is equivalent to the men. Based on the results of analysis and advice for women in order to improve the quality of the field of education, domestic, and the public so that gender equality can be achieved.

Abstract

This study aimed to (1) describe the values of character education contained in the folklore that used as subject material in Ganesha Vocational High School and (2) the relevance of the values of character education in the folklore in the development of student character. The design of this research is descriptive-qualitative. The subjects of this study are 10 folklores used in Ganesha Vocational High School and teachers of Indonesian subjects in Ganesha Vocational High School. The object of this study is the values of character education contained in the folklore and its relevance to the formation of student characters. Data collection methods used are documentation and interview method. Data analysis is done descriptively-qualitative. At the data reduction stage, identification stage is performed, data matching the problem is observed and classified and at the conclusion draw stage. The results showed that from ten folklore stories analyzed there are values of character education as follows; (1) religious (faith, piety, and thanksgiving); (2) responsibility; (3) social concern (public interest, helpers, willing to sacrifice, cooperation, sharing, and loving); (4) honest; (5) curiosity; (6) the spirit of nationality; (7) love the homeland; (8) independent; (9) discipline; (10); love peace; (11) hard work; (12) creative; (13) friendly / communicative; (14) tolerance; (15) appreciate achievement; (16) care about the environment; (17) like to read; (18) democratic. The results of interviews with teachers of Indonesian subjects in Ganesha Vocational High School, folklore contain the values of advice that can be used as teaching materials, so it has relevance for the development of student character. The conclusion of this study shows the value of characters contained in the story of the people of the Indonesian archipelago is very relevant to be a mirror in everyday life.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to (1) describe the language variations in sociolinguistic interaction of society in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency, (2) to describe the language choice in sociolinguistic interaction of society in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency, and (3) to describe the factors that affect language variations and language choices in sociolinguistic interaction of society  in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency. Data were collected using observation and interview. The data are analyzed through reduction, presentation and data collection. The location of this research is 4 of 15 villages in Busungbiu sub-district that is Sepang Village, Pelapuan, Kekeran, and Busungbiu. The result of this research shows that (1) There are language variations in terms of speakers of dialect and sociolek and language variations in terms of formality. (2) There is a code switching of the Bali language code into the Indonesia language, code switching the Indonesia language code into Bali language, code switching the Java language code into the Indonesia language. The code mixing into and code mixing exit. (3) Factors that influence is the language variation that is area of the speaker's and social origin. Factors that influence is the language choice that is changing speech situations, the presence of a third person, awakens a sense of humor, to a mere prestige, using more popular terms. Thus it can be concluded that the Bali language experiencing critical condition and bali language start to weaken. This can be proved by the existence of citizens who notabene native Bali language speakers can code switch and code mixed, so the use of Bali language began to shift little by little. Based on this, the need for guidance, training and coaching, especially the Bali language in Busungbiu district.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe (1) the use of Indonesian language as the first language in terms of sentence based on the content and structure of children in the Balinese ethnic families and (2) the constraints faced by the Balinese ethnic families in Banjar Bernasi in using the Indonesian language as the first language of their children. The subject of this research was the Balinese family in Banjar Bernasi who used the Indonesian language as the first language of their children. The object of this research was the use of Indonesian language as the first language of children in the Balinese family ethnic in Banjar Bernasi and the constraints faced by the family in Banjar Bernasi in using the Indonesian language as the first language of their children. The data collection methods used were observation method, interview, and recording. There were several steps in analyzing the data, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that (1) the use of Indonesian language as the first language of children in the Balinese ethnic families in Banjar Bernasi in terms of sentence based on the content and structure could be declared that children on the primary school were able to use the sentence well. (2) There was no constraint felt by parents in teaching the Indonesian language to their children. That was because the children had already been using the Indonesian language as a mother language start from the baby. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that children were able to use the Indonesian language well in terms of sentences based on the content and structure. Therefore, it is suggested to parents to always teach their children to speak well so that children are able to communicate by using the Indonesian language effectively.
